Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

Hi my HDI 3000 powers up for a few secs then screen goes black, all lights go off the keyboard. You can still hear the cooling fans running on the back though. Unit was manufacturer in 1996. Any suggestions where I would starttrouble shooting?

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

At first guess it sounds like a power supply is defective, but I need to research a bit and see if I can get some better information for you.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

I don't know a whole lot about the HDI 1000, nor do I have one in house to help troubleshoot. But I sent you an email with some more information that might be of use to you.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

Sounds like a corrupted transducer file in the hard drive. If you're able to boot from the backup disk then it shouldnt be a power/board issue.

It sounds like you would need either a new hard drive with software, or a software reload on the system. You might need to contact the OEM (Philips/ATL) for the software, since it is proprietary.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

If you are able to do all that, I would then say yes... that sounds like a viable option. Also, I saw your request for a quote on the HDI3000ultrasound.com for a hard drive, and unfortunately since it is Serial Number specific, I do not have hard drives available. Unless you're just looking for a blank hard drive that will work with the system.. you could probably just find it off the HD that it's in the system already and order it online for much cheaper.

Hope this helps.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

Hello, i have a problem with my ATL HDI 3000 date of manufacture 1997. When system starts i get : Runtime Alarm (1202-8220-B003-28416765), when i use the backupdisk i get another message :Systemdiagnose Error: (1202-8618-160D-33202265). please help me what to do next. Thank you

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

That's a tough one. I can try to find out whats going on, but unless there's some sort of board listing it's hard to tell what the problem is. Runtime errors can be any number of things.

Is it a boot-up disk, or a back-up disk? The back-up disk might not help just because it's only mainly used for storing all of your system files, but doesn't necessarily allow you to boot from the disk. A boot-up disk acts as the hard drive.

I will do what I can to help, but if you have other people you can contact I would suggest asking around while providing me with more information.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

We have one HDI3000 system. When we switch it on the  system does a check i.e, bars are seen on the monitor after that white screen appears and nothing happens after that.  What could be the problem. Philips engr. says that HDD power is gone bad. We checked it and found that the HDD power is o.k. Please advise  for a solution. Is it that there is s/w crash.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

While I can't say for certain, it sounds like a board could be causing the problem. Philips would definitely know more about it than I would, so I'd try to find out more about the HD software. I currently don't have software for this unit.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

Hi
I have a little problem with this ATL HDI 3000 when it starts up everything seems okay, but after some time it simply just cut off the power from everything but the cooling fans.
i have made this little video that i hope makes it easier to troubleshoot.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

hello

I have a HDI 3000 CV but need to use it for abdominal US, i purchased a C4-2 transducer but the machine seems to be lacking the software to recognize the probe, where can i find or how else could i upgrade the software.

thank you.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

Marvin, you can try contacting Philips/ATL in the U.S. and see if they would be willing to help you upgrade the system to Abdominal, and allow the use of the C4-2, but other than that there isn't much you can do.

Brast, when everything cuts out besides the fans.. to me it sounds like one of the three power supplies is encountering an issue (the AC input at the back allows power to filter to the fans when the White switch is ON, so it sounds like you're getting power, but it's just not being redirected properly). The master power supply controls power on the Digital power supply, as well as the Analog power supply. They're basically three boards in the front of the system.

You could try removing the front plate and reseating the power supplies (power off, and system unplugged prior to doing that). Other than that it would either take some board replacing, or component level tracking down of the issue.

Re: Welcome to the HDI 3000 Support Forum

Hi again
You were right,I replaced the analog power supply board, and it's working now.

Do you know if there are some common errors for this board, before I begin to trace it down.

I appreciate your help

Best regards.
