1 Acuson 128 R/F Serial No.02691. All Units Need ENCRYPTION STRING or Probe acceptance license. Further we would need operating and service manuals for Acuson 128 XP/10. I would appreciate if you please help us out in this regard.

Re: Welcome to the 128 XP/10 Support Forum

All services that require physical changes to any of your systems will need to be paid for.

One thing I could suggest that may help you with your systems is to contact the people you bought the systems from, and see if they have any paperwork for the Encryption Strings, or check the machines and look for anything that says "Encryption Strings".

As for operators manuals, those two would need to be paid for. I do not have the 128XP service manual.

Re: Welcome to the 128 XP/10 Support Forum

We have just installed new batteries (3.9V) on the CVC board -- We managed to boot the system up to the screen showing a white cursor in the upper left and the date and time in the upper right of the screen -- Also, we were able to enter encrypton strings  to enables codes for the following functions: Main, Transducer, Doppler, M-Mode, Color, etc.

(1) How do we save the newly enterred strings ?  As our system 128 XP/10-C has no ''SAVE'' button on the keyboard !

(2)How do we boot the system to imaging screen ?  Thank you for any help!

Re: Welcome to the 128 XP/10 Support Forum

How were you able to enable the codes if you weren't able to save?

As for the Save option, you press the soft key on the monitor that is just below the word "Save" on the screen. There should be 4 gray buttons just below the monitor, on the monitor bezel... these are used for the 4 different on-screen options that come up during different menus.

The system should normally boot to imaging by itself. However, the first power on of the day will usually take 10 minutes or so, since the system does a self-diagnostic. To turn it to "once per day" instead of "every time", when the system first powers on, hold down the "M" key until a new menu appears. Towards the bottom of the menu you should see something about the system running power-on diagnostics every time the system is rebooted, or turned on. I think the default key to change it to "once per day" is "P", press that and then press Reset.

It might still go through the boot-up process if that is the first time you've booted the system on for that day. The same thing applies if you change the date and time. Skipping forward or backwards in days will make the system run power-on diagnostics if the system is reset. To bypass power-on diagnostics hold the " i " key when the system is turned on, or if you've tried resetting it. Continue to hold the " i " key until you see the cursor and date/time, then you can let go and wait for it to boot to imaging.

Re: Welcome to the 128 XP/10 Support Forum

I try to repeat to process to follow your instruction -- But nothing comes out of the screen -- all the power switches are turned ON -- The red LED on the back is ON (Main Power) -- The status light (Green) on front (underneath) is also ON!

We have new batteries replaced on the CVC board as decribed on my previous posting!
After replacing the batterie (last week), we were able to boot the system up to the ''White Cursor'' by pressing and holding down  TEST - SHIFT - CODE - V

The system was responding as encryption were entered one after another -- But I was looking for the SAVE options on the keyboard  rather than on the bottom of the monitor screen (i.e. 4 gray buttons).

Now, we have this new problem with DarK Screen Monitor -- No Display! Any suggestions for solutions ? Thank you in advance!

Re: Welcome to the 128 XP/10 Support Forum

Do you have a printer on the system? try taking a picture using the printer and see if you get any image. If you do... then maybe the monitor just died.

If nothing happens, then there might be something else going on. Maybe the CVC board has an issue.

Look on the back of the system to see if you have any power supply errors.

Re: Welcome to the 128 XP/10 Support Forum

Good day sir,

i had an issue to my ASPEN (ACUSON) OB/vascular system type to a share system, we installed a 2D application, we put AUX CW board, ECG module, and change the software chips from SVC board now the problem is the 4v2c probe is not recognize by the machine, but in the configuration report of the system the 4v2c probe is already installed. on the transducer selections you will see the 4v2c probe to be select but when you select it it appears on hte monitor TRANSDUCER INOPERABLE PLEASE CALL YOUR COSTUMER ENGINEER. I dont have any idea to fix this problem.

i hope you can help me to fix it.

thanks sir. God Bless!!!

Jose

Re: Welcome to the 128 XP/10 Support Forum

Swapping out the ECG module and putting an AUX CW board in the system doesn't really affect the 4V2c, just the AUX CW board for CW Doppler.

Check in both the Version and Configuration reports for the 4V2c transducer. I would recommend checking the pins on the transducer connector, as well as cleaning out the transducer interconnect on the Aspen itself. Try both ports too.

Re: Welcome to the 128 XP/10 Support Forum

I'm slightly confused... since there are 8 SDL2's in the Aspen/XP systems. Is it just one SDL2 that does not have a jumper on it.. or are all of them like that?

Is it still possible to recover encryption strings for another one Acuson 128 xp? In Siemens says that it's no longer supported, no documentation.
