Re: 128XP/10 Power error code 9

#9 = scanner low voltage power supply

That to me sounds like the Scanner Analog Power Supply. What are the Promload errors you're getting? And have you tried minimum config'ing the scan converter and scanner? Usually any drop in the scanner voltage is related to XMT's, RCV's, or SDL's.

Have you checked your OC3 to see if it has the OCWARE chips on it? I think there's a forum post somewhere that has detailed instructions on accessing manual diagnostics. Here we go: Manual Diagnostics

We do have all the power supplies for these too. I would check to see if you have the 5, 7.5, and 15VDC from your scanner analog power supply first, then after pulling out those boards see if you can get it to boot to the imaging screen.

Re: 128XP/10 Power error code 9

How much is the the lower power supply(including shipping to Taiwan) for error number 9 ?
How many percent can be verified the power supply damaged ?
I have to quoat my customer first.
Do I need to verify Voltage 15.,7.7,5 on site ?or we can guess the power was bad.
Thank you.
Tom

Re: 128XP/10 Power error code 9

Tom,

You would need to verify the voltage on site, but it's not always the power supply that's the problem. It could be a scanner board thats dragging the power down.

That's why I recommended un-seating/removing all of the XMT's, RCV's, and SDL's in the Scanner card cage. That eliminates a lot of possibilities right there, if you can get the system to boot up without the #9 you can narrow it down to a board.

If you have trouble accessing the scanner card cage, please let me know and I can upload some pictures.

Re: 128XP/10 Power error code 9

Dear Toddy,
I will be on site and try remove some boards.
Do you remember what is unlock code on scanner cover.
It is 454 or another number.
Best  Regards
Tom

Re: 128XP/10 Power error code 9

Unlock code for the scanner cover? Did you mean that someone is actually using the pin with combination lock to keep people from getting into the scanner? I would personally just take a hammer to it, or some bolt cutters and just remove it.

To answer your question though, I do not remember what the unlock code is.

Re: 128XP/10 Power error code 9

Dear Toddy,
I check power on DBL, no power on test point.
5 voltage is OK to Scan convert power supply.
I find analog power supply 7.5 Voltage led is light
Removed RCV, Xmt, SDL, every thing is same(power up error, Power error code still 9)
I guess Scan convert power supply is dead.
I took some picture , but I did not know how to paste on.
7.5 Voltage Led lit on analog power supply mean no 7.5 voltage ouput ? right ?

Did you have a good analog power supply ?
Plesae let me know price and payment term.
Best Regards
Tom

Re: 128XP/10 Power error code 9

Re: 128XP/10 Power error code 9

My apologies Tom, I know I said we had all the power supplies for the system, but I looked in our warehouse and we are out of the scanner analog power supplies. I will have to try and source it from another of our contacts in the US, or I can let you know when I get another system in that I can part out. I have 2-3 more 128xp's coming in within the month.

Let me know if you can wait, or if I should find elsewhere.
