The EV5 and EV519 are the same probe. Just a generational gap thing: 128 -- EV519, 128XP10 -- EV5.

The probe naming scheme for Acuson was basically the type of probe or array, with the MHz listed in the name. For instance, EV5 = Endo-Vaginal 5.0MHz Transducer.

Unfortunately I do not have access to the Service Access passwords provided by the manufacturer.

There is a way around this but it requires some hardware. If you open the top of your 128XP10 (white panel, two philips screws at the back, slides off -- remove the silver metal panel) and look on the OC3 for Four (4) EPROMS labeled "OC3Ware", then you can run the manual diagnostics through the Acuson power-on menu.

I will update you on the rest if you are able to confirm the presence of these Four (4) EPROMs.

If you do not have them, we can provide you with these 4 chips at a small cost + shipping.
