Topic: HDI 5000 Error message

Hi Todd,

I am having a problem with ATL  HDI 5000CV: it boots up to a black screen but the monitor is alive and then if you disconnect the cable from the monitor a message on the screen appears “NO SYNC INPUT”. Also I noticed the fans in the back are not running. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a power issue. Do you run the system off of a power converter? Have you checked the wall socket for power? I do not see how the system could boot at all without the fans kicking on, but I wouldn't recommend trying to boot the system if things are not working properly.

It's possible that the AC Input Module is defective, and is not diverting power to your fan strip, or to the PSM (power supply module). Without a replacement part, the only advice I can offer is to remove it from the system and visually inspect the board for any burns, or electronic damage.
