Topic: Question about HDI5000 Video Recording
Hi there,
My question is what is the PINOUT assignment for the S-VID output from the peripheral connections of this ATLHDI 5000 machine.
Here's comes the detail description.
We have an ATL HDI 5000 machine in our laboratory, and we'd like to record its video with a video card and a computer. I checked the reference manual. There are several system peripheral connections for video output including SVID, CVID. We've successfully recorded the video with the use of a BNC cable connecting CVID output of the machine and the video card on the computer. However, the image quality is not very good.
We're thinking using the SVID output to get around with this. But the SVID output on the HDI machine is kind of different compared to current s-video standard, ie.4-pin or 7-pin mini DIN connector, which records the luminance and chrominance of the video. Instead, the SVID output on the HDI machine looks like 9-pin DE-9 connector, and I couldn't find any adapter for this DE-9 to 4-pin mini DIN. Therefore, I'm thinking do the wiring by myself. But, the reference manual didn't provide the PINOUT information for this S-VIDEO out. I checked the internet http://www.nullmodem.com/DB-9.htm none of them are for S-VIDEO pinout, which outputs luminance and chrominance.
Any help or idea about how to record the video with computer is highly appreciated!
