Electronic boards of 128 XP-10 are compatible with the Aspen.

When you say the chip, do you mean the serialized eprom? The 128xp serial number is located on the OC3, and the serial chip for the Aspen is located on the SVC2. They are identical chip series, but not the data that is on them.
Some electronic boards are compatible between the Aspen and 128XP. Please see the list below:
Scanner boards:
RCV
SDL
XMT
APD
XDY
MXK
TRM
DCC
STG
ACW
BBQ
VDT
IFD
IGD
Scan Converter boards:
DAQ
DSP
FEC (with the right eproms for XP10)
Everything else is Aspen specific -- power supplies, hard drive, mo disk drive, 85% of the scan converter boards, monitor.. user interface.. etc.
