Topic: Study settings don't match study type

We have a number of Sequoia 512s and McKesson's HMI PACS. When our techs select a study from the worklist it automatically updates the study type and study settings - i.e. if they're to perform a carotid scan, they select that patient and it automatically sets the study type on the left to our chosen description (US-Carotid in this case) and the study settings on the right to Carotid.

I believe that some of our study types are mapped to incorrect study settings. I am told that only way to check the mappings is at the modality, one-at-a-time. Is that accurate? There's no mapping file that I can download and check?

Thank you for your help,
Jenn

I'll look into this today, but I think that it may be something you'll have to do manually.

Thank you for checking, I really appreciate it.

Re: Study settings don't match study type

Well.. I don't have great news. I've got a system here with modality worklist, but my current DICOM software (one of these free ones) doesn't support MW.

I'll try to contact some of the networking people I deal with and get some more information for you. As of now though.. I don't have a concrete answer. =/
