Topic: replacing c256 hard drive

my question can i replace the hard drive of 36 gb with higher storage capacity
my acuson sequoia c256  hard disk model number is ST336607LW , seagate ultra 320 SCSI , 36.7 gb capacity
can i replace with higher capacity like 73 gb or higher ,
another question can replace it with other brand not seagate?

The 73gb hard drive Siemens uses is the Seagate ST373455LW. Whether or not 9.51 allows the full use of 73gb is a mystery to me still. However, 36gb is still fairly adequate for storage, unless you plan on never deleting any studies, or transferring them to a DICOM network.

As for what brand other than Seagate... I'm not entirely sure. It is definitely possible to do, you would just need to set up the jumpers properly. I think that at some point Siemens may have gotten the best bargain using Seagate drives, but who knows?
