06CA and 06C4 usually refer to a communications error with the hard drive. Possible causes are: MO Drive, Hard Drive, SCSI cables from disk bay to scan converter, DCI (Digital Compression Interface) circuit board.

Whenever I have those two errors it's usually fixed by reloading system software, or replacing the hard drive with another that has a fresh install of system software. On boot-up, does the system display an "AEGIS NOT RESPONDING" message after a while?

I have the same problem, my software rev is 7.03 and it does send a message a minute after initianting that says: "Aegis is not responding, continue without aegis?", I click continue and it works normal, of course without aegis. What do you think?

Chances are it's a dead hard disk, or you may need a software reload.
