Topic: Another XP 128

This Ultrasound does not have a DICOM Box hooked up and comes up with the following message:

Prototype System Software Not for Diagnostic Use

Also failed memory test at onboard diagnostics one of the tests

The following  description was associated

Re: Another XP 128

Unit gave me the following errors eventually:

POwer Up errors:
CMB 44
CVC 08
DPR AA
Test Board p9f
INTERNAL ERR20
INTERNAL ERREF
Internal ERR00
VC 7E
INTERNAL ERR5F

Again, this unit has no DICOM box and message with SW not for diagnostic use.

Re: Another XP 128

CMB 44 - Output Trigger Map RAM test failed
CVC 08 - battery backed memory test of user stored sets failed (3.9v lithium batteries are dead)
DPR -- error doesn't show up.. but DPR stands for 'dual port ram', this comes from the scanner portion of the ultrasound system, basically something isn't talking to the OC3 board.
Test board.. no clue to be honest, I have seen this alot though whenever the batteries are dead on the CVC. Same with the Internal Error codes.

VC 7E also has something to do with the battery backed ram on the CVC.

The 'prototype software not for diagnostic use' error usually pops up whenever the configuration is lost and the system has defaulted to factory setups.

The text can be deleted by holding down "Code" and pressing "Delete" (you just need to check to see if the text is set to 1 or 2.. you can check by press the Delete key once, without pressing code). It will keep coming back though until you change out the batteries with new ones.
