Topic: Acuson Antares doesn't start

Hello all!

The system writes:

"Alert. The EM Module has been detected as requiring re-test. When boot up is finished go to the syngo service page's Test Tool menu and select OK when prompted to execute Module Re-Test. The system is continuing to start up"
and doesn't work - black screen.

How can i access Sevice Menu?  Sorry, this is my first Acuson Antares, and i don't know, how can i use FREE trial password by Siemens smile

Thanks!

Re: Acuson Antares doesn't start

Hello SonoSky,

Have you replaced any boards or parts on your Antares recently? The Module Re-Test that your seeing is generally caused from a serial number mis-match within the system. After replacing parts you need the Siemens password to access the diagnostic test to clear this message. Unfortunately Siemens is the only one that can generate this password. My recommendation would be to try Siemens Uptime Support at (800) 888 7436. Hope this information helps.

Re: Acuson Antares doesn't start

Hello Antony,

Thank you for answer and advice.

Anybody except doctors did not touch system before its breakage. Inside there was a lot of dust.

I have received the FREE trial password here:
http://www.service-password.com/siemens/ultrasound-scanner/acuson-antares/service-password.html   (do you know something about this company, whether its passwords are valid ?)

I understand, this is the lowest level access, but i can't enter and this one - i don't have any service manual and i don't know how enter to Test Tool ( or service menu). Probably, you know, which keys i have to press to access password entering menu?

OK, now i have the Service Manual and begin to study.

Can you comment these logs, which i have read from HDD?

Before system falling:

I can suppose, the Video Interface board can be as reason of problem.

Re: Acuson Antares doesn't start

So, i now know, the system does not see the Video Interface board. Does anybody know, what a chip contents identification data of  the board? I see one little CPLD IC Altera EPM 7032 close to PCB Connector. Maybe this IC?

Re: Acuson Antares doesn't start

Dear colleagues!

Who can read content of chip U48 (configuration device EPC2LC32
by Altera) on the Video Interface board p/n 10035801, Acuson
Antares 5.0 ?

I have done it on my board, using JTAG connector, Altera
ByteBlaster and Quartus software.

I can read contents of all Altera FPGA and EEPROM chips on board, but
only U48 has all "zero": this chip was rewritten with mistake
during firmware reloading (i see this situation in system logs).
There are files on system HDD for downloading to all chips , but they look crypted:(

Re: Acuson Antares doesn't start

Hi, I have  a problem with the power supply of Antares Premium Edition.

This is broken and I would need the block diagram to identify the differents voltages.

Help me please!!

Thanks a lot. Bye.
