Willie,
Whenever a piece of hardware is swapped in the HDI 5000, upon booting the system will run a quick scan of it's previously saved hardware configuration and if it is different the system spits out an error code. Diagnostic 0008 = The installed hardware and software did not match the expected values.
To remove this error code you will need to clear the screen, then access the CSR/basic service menus and configure the system to treat the current hardware as the proper configuration. To do this, please see the illustrations below:
Superkey + FR Rate = screen error clear. Superkey + 0 = CSR menu

Getting into the CSR menu requires that you enter a user/password. The user name is "CSR", the password is "user".

Move the trackball cursor over "Configuration" and press the "Select" button.

Verify that "Installed vs. Expected" is checked, verify that the hardware differences on the screen are in correlation to what part was changed.

Confirm changes to be made, press the "Save Installed as Expected" button on the screen, then press "OK"

Press "OK" again once it is finished saving the information.

Click on "Close" to return to the previous set of menus.

Press "Close" on this menu as well.

********** THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ********** DO NOT CLICK ON "REBOOT" **************
instead, you want to use the power standby switch located on the left hand side of the ultrasound system. This will properly power down the unit, and save all of your configuration files.

This image is just to show you the box you should see when powering the system down with the standby switch.

After that, boot it back up normally and you should be all set.
