Topic: ATL 5000 error code 0021

Got a client that has a machine with an error code 0021.

Worked fine yesterday, then tried to power up this morning and got it.
Just a black screen and the error code.
Restart and unplug, replug and restart, no change.

Any ideas?????

Re: ATL 5000 error code 0021

Hm. Unfortunately I don't have any great news.

This is straight from the error code list: 0021 - VPMClockMonitor.c - Task crash. No recommendations.

I would recommend reseating the boards in the front/back card cages. Check to see if the FEC at the front of the system displays any numbers on the LED. Also, check the AC input board at the back of the system. There will be a series of LED's that will light up in a sequence, let me know if it's doing something different. Seems like a long shot, but it could be a power issue.

Re: ATL 5000 error code 0021

OK, so here's the story.....
at first I thought it might be a software/HD issue.
So I took out the DDEA board and put it in another functioning unit, it worked (of course, had option and installed/expected issues), but it booted.

Then thought maybe the CPU, so got a working CPU and viola, it booted.
Hooked up the network cable, I forgot to mention it was on a network, and rebooted. Boom, same 0021 alert  and system locked up. So whenever it's connected to the network, it now crashes and locks up, alert 0021.

It seems there is a network issue with the config files so that every time the network is hooked up, it crashes. Now, it was working fine on Tuesday downloading files to the network, but when they went to start up on Wed. this 0021 alert pops up.

Now I'm going to re-install a backup of my config files that was saved before this happened and see what happens.
