Topic: CypressLink Transfer

I am trying to establish a transfer between the Ultrasound machine and a PC computer.  I would like to transfer patients information to a PC using native CypressLink images.
I can transfer using Multimedia but I wanted to use CypressViewer to view Cypresslink images.

Can someone point the details on how to do that?

Thx

Re: CypressLink Transfer

I don't have a whole lot of useful experience with the CypressViewer software. Every time I've tried to use it, it has never connected properly enough for me to transfer studies from the Cypress to my PC.

I guess the first question would be: what revision cypress do you have, and does it match the revision level of your CypressViewer software?

Re: CypressLink Transfer

How would you check that?

Also do I have to use a crossover cable? or can I transfer it through the network?

Re: CypressLink Transfer

Art,

Sorry for not getting back to you until now. I currently don't have a Cypress in stock, so I've been trying to find someone I can bug for information. I'll call around again today, but if I can't find anyone, would you be cool with me muddling my way through the setup menus? I have a vague recollection of where stuff is... but I may need your assistance.

On they keyboard is a Setups key, press that... and look for either a System or Setup tab. There will be expandable trees on the left side of the monitor when you go to the Setups tab... (pretty sure its Setup..). Look for System Info, or Machine Info/Cypress something.. you might have to click on the actual listing, instead of just expanding the tree/column. Look for something that says Software Revision, or just Revision.. should be an 11, 14, or 20 something.

Easy way to tell if its a Revision 20 is to look at the image I have on CypressUltrasound.com -- the one in the header, it's gray. If your Cypress looks like that... then it's a Rev. 20. And you need to have Rev. 20 CypressViewer software.

As for the crossover/network cable, I've tried with both, but never had much success in transferring files. Did you get the system from a 3rd Party Vendor, or the Manufacturer?

Re: CypressLink Transfer

I will check what version I have, but I have decided to transfer the files onto computer as an *.avi extensions, and back them up that way.
I got the system from 3rd party vendor, who informed me that there is NO way to do what I wanted to do.

Anyway thanks for your help.  I have began transferring images and videos onto a computer so I could send them to the dr's, as well as back them up onto external hard drive and at same time free some precious space on my ultrasound machine.
