Removing the monitor for the HDI 5000 is quite easy. In the back of the monitor, there are two connections that need to be removed (power cable, and monitor interface cable). Once those are out, look underneath the monitor, at the base where it swivels.
There will be 2 locking mechanisms, one on either side, that should have a picture of an exclamation point within a triangle. The lock is basically a pivot pin, that slides through a hole in a metal rod that extends off the base of the monitor itself. Slightly confusing without a picture... but once you see it on the monitor it should click, hopefully.
Once you identify the locking mechanism, you should see a horizontal circular hole (this is the metal pin). The easiest way I've found to continue from here.. is to find a thin screwdriver, preferably a Phillips head, and insert it into the circular hole, then push down on the screwdriver (acts as leverage) to bring that metal pin to a vertical position. You can then slide it back out of the metal rod that extends from the monitor. Do this for the other side as well... and then lift the monitor off the swivel base.
Let me know if you need pictures, and I can send you something via email.
Thanks! Real simple once you do it.
