Topic: keyboard problems with Aloka Ultrasound SSD-1400

Regards

I have a rattle ultrasound aloka SSD-1400 that has problems with the number 2 key. You must press more than 3 times and with this key to force that may appear on-screen menu options .. I have not uncovered the computer.

1) I can do? how to uncover the computer as?
2) Are there any maintenance protocol for ultrasound keyboard?

I hope you can help

Elvis, I don't have a whole lot of experience with the Aloka SSD-1400. The number 2 key, is it possible to pull out? Maybe check to see if something is stuck in there?

There might be a rubber or synthetic membrane that goes over a control board with contact leads on it. If the key is loose, or doesn't pop back up when you press it... you may have a bad overlay.

Granted, that's a complete guess... but I'll see if I can find anyone who knows Aloka's. I can't promise you anything though.

Re: keyboard problems with Aloka Ultrasound SSD-1400

Thanks for your explanation, I do much good. Open the keyboard to verify the fault, also take some photos. I would indicate how to place images in this forum. I would also like to know if a substance ultilizando necessary for the maintenance of good keys in order to remove dust or any particle that may damage the keys, this is for any ultrasound, you sell some kit for this??

greetings

To place images on the forums you would need to host the image on a site that hosts images, then link to that site. There are some free services available, I think imageshack would work, or maybe try to find one through Google/Yahoo, etc.

As for cleaning the keys/removing dust, you can probably just buy a can of compressed air to blow the keys out. We don't currently have any sort of cleaning kits, because most everything can be found at a tool store.
