Topic: panel opened !

hi all!
I opened the right panel of ultrasound and it no longer starts. anyone knows how to unlock the system? I opened it to clean the boards, and only after I realized the fatal mistake I made. for this I could be fired, lost my job. Please, I really need help.

You may need to contact Siemens Healthcare or Up-Time Solutions to get the Third Party Service key in order to allow the system to boot back into imaging mode.

Call this number: 800 888 7436 (United States #, not sure what the # in Italy is) -- listen to the message prompts, select ultrasound, and try to reach someone in service or technical support. Explain that you have a system that you are doing routine maintenance on, and needed to open the side to clean the board area as per your bosses instructions. But you need to have Third Party Service turned on to do this, and would like to get the "Feature Key" turned on.

They will probably need all of your company information, email address, phone number, name and Serial Number of the system you have. They should not charge for this service, but I cannot be 100% certain.

oh my god.... so,i will lost my job tomorrow. thanks for your rapid answer, you 've been very thorough. I'll try to call Siemens, but in Italy I doubt very much that they will help me.
I hope to find a new job.... sad
please if anyone can help me in some way, I really need help. i will pay this expensive mistake with my job, if not remedied in some way. also because the ultrasound worked perfectly.

siemens also has a website online in italian that might get you closer to contacting Siemens in Europe (they are a German born company after all). The only reason I suggested the US number was Acuson is based out of California and is now owned by Siemens/Siemens Medical.

do you work as a biomed for a hospital marco? or for a service company?

ok, tomorrow i'll try to contact siemens to resolve this trouble.
i work for a service company, Todd.
until now I had never seen anything like this in a medical equipment, a switch (like a hall effect switch) that disable the ultrasound if a panel is opened...

thanks for all, Todd. i'll write the news about this story tomorrow. (now it's 23.40 in italy).

Only reason I asked was we were starting up some Sequoia business relations with LOGIC, a service company in Italy. I was wondering what the odds would be that you lived in Trieste, and worked for this service company.

I don't think that any of that was your fault. Siemens does not give out technical information easily.
